This activity provides child care subsidies (financial assistance) to parents/guardians so that they can go to work, attend school or participate in job training activities. A social worker interviews the parents regarding the families’ needs for child care, eligibility, work status, household members and other circumstances. Preschoolers with special needs or developmental needs are referred to the proper agency and placed in child care facilities.
